Bonjour all. Marianna here. Today I'm gonna tell you all some updates for my stories and Oc's. This is to make up for the artist interview I was suppose to do. I was suppose to do this interview with my darling bff/co writer ~Defender-Of-Light Sadly she is currently sick with a nasty case of the flu. Wish her well. So for this interview, I will talk about mainly my characters. Wait for her's next time dears.

Artist Interview

Q: When did you started drawing?
A: I started drawing when I was a little girl. Around 5 I assume. I always drew things like my family or animals.
Q: What first inspired you to draw?
A: What inspired me to draw was basically whatever it was I saw. The kitchen, the window, the birds, plants. Everything and anything I found in my early life and childhood.
Q: What methods do you use?
A: Hmm, methods? Thats a lot to answer.
Q: Any inspirational sayings to all new artists or old?
A: Well, all I have to say to any artist out there is basically do what you love. If art is your passion, then don't be afraid to express it and love it. Always practice. Thats all artist do is practice. Even if you think your good, your always practicing hen you don't realize it. Have fun and don;t give up. Try new styles and techniques. Whatever works for you. Accept criticism, even if it hurts. Trust me and every other artist, it hurts. But don't give up.
Q: What materials do you prefer/use?
A: Hmm materials. My usual traditional style consists of colored pencils. Other than those I sometimes use markers. Pastels are also great to use. Also I've recently started to use copic sketch markers. [If anyone has any tips, please tell me.lol]
So to put it simply I use: colored pencils, markers, pastels, copic sketch markers, mechanical/regular pencils, and an eraser[big help].
Q: How do you create such good characters?
A: I'm flattered some of you think my characters are good. Well, to start off, I'm always thinking about my characters. Usually an idea pops in my head and i think about it, adding on to it. Sometimes its like there's a movie in my head, and I see my characters in a situation. [example: Belial in a fight with Midnight.] Other times, if I'm writing a story, a random scene shows in my head and at the same time its like a voice, I don't know who's but its describing everything as if it were a book. [I personally think thats fucking sexy XD]
Q: If you could be stranded on a deserted island with ANYONE who would it be and why?
A: lol. Hmmm annnnnnnnnnnnyone? =w= Well....It would have to be someone I like. I won't name names. As for Belial, he'd want to be anywhere where theres a hot girl. Mostly any fans here. Boy, girl, whatever. He doesn't care anymore.
Q: What do you do first when planning your drawings, etc?
A: When I first plan a drawing or a story/chapter. I try and think about the conflict and who specifically would appear in it. If its a drawing, I think of the pose and who it is. Then I usually try and think of the color scheme. After I decide that, sketch it out. I try ad make it as close to how it is in my head. Once thats done I line it. Recently I've been using copics, so i outline with a pen or marker. Then I color is as good as i can. If I don;t do it well, I use the computer to help with my mistakes. [Now I'm gonna make ~IigouthamiI to help me with that because he's helped me before. >w>] Now, if I'm trying to write a story, I basically plan it out in my head. Then I just start to write. Its really simple. [I know I haven''t added to it in forever, I'm trying to post it! I really am!! TT^TT *cries*]
Q: What’s an idea for a drawing or whatever that you got long ago and never really got to draw it?
A: Ohh, you just had to ask me this. [*glares at whoever asked this*] Well, I have practically a million drawings I've wanted to do. One in particular is a drawing of Belial standing under a waterfall, meditating. I had this idea 3 YEARS AGO! Still I haven't drawn it yet. Although lately my art has improved. I know for a fact its improved immensely since when I first joined dA. Hopefully I can draw him.
Q: What inspired you to write your story and create the characters the way you did?
A: What inspired me to first write my story was an incident I had about 3 years ago on vacation in Florida. After nearly dying in a car crash, I started thinking about my life. I started thinking about a life that wasn't mine, yet had something to do with me. Then somehow I created Skuld and Belial. Then I started thinking about the two of them. Belial is Skuld's only real friend. This relates to me because Emma is my first real friend I met when I was 9. Then I started creating more and then...bam! My story came to be. 8D Then Emma and I started tying our stories together. And thats how all this epicness came to be. XD
Q: Do you base off your stories of anything?
A: Well, manga usually helps me whenever I draw. Music also helps. Basically a lot of things. XD
